CASS TELL

Picture
Biography
Cass Tell is the pen name for an author of suspense action/thriller novels. In his fiction, Cass Tell gravitates toward themes he finds provocative within love, culture, religion and worldview. In his novels, critical questions and issues are addressed related to assumed paradigms of morality, the tension between personal choice and cultural norms, the connection between a person’s worldview and their accompanying actions, as well as many others.

His stories often begin with a simple inciting incident that quickly escalates in urgency for the protagonist, who then must grapple with fierce political, financial or social powers of some kind. These characters tend to be somewhat broken souls struggling against insurmountable forces. Cass Tell’s objective is to leave readers with an after-thought requiring further reflection from them and possibly other forms of response.

As an author, Cass Tell does not seek the spot light and is careful with his privacy. He lives in a small Spanish village on the Costa Brava. In his home which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, he reflects on the world and his surroundings in a deeper way. While he does most of his writing from Spain, the breadth and width of his world-travel experience comes through in his writing, which features a variety of international cities and settings. Cass Tell writes in English, is fluent in French and gets by in several different languages.

Although his parents were from Europe, he spent some years attending school in the western part of the United States. After graduating from university, he worked for several large corporations before starting his own company and then selling it, an entrepreneurial move later followed by many more. Wanting to explore other avenues of experience and expression, he left the business world to reflect on themes such as the ones mentioned above and pursue his passion for writing fiction.
